I purchased this little computer for my wife, but she had trouble getting used to its touchpad and chicklet keys, preferring to stick with her MacBook Pro. I, on the other hand, love it and prefer it to the MBP. Small size, GREAT battery life, small size, great battery life .... what can I say? I do love the Mac OS, but Apple seems unwilling or unable to meet the demand from the market for economical netbooks.br /br /This 0 10" ASUS netbook has me thinking seriously about saying "bye-bye" to Apple (I can get 4+ of these for the cost of the 1 MacBook AIR). Okay, His Highness Steve Jobs is a big motivator as well for my probably "goodbye" to Apple!!! Finally we have a version of Windows (Windows 7) that's pretty darned reliable and a decent alternative to the Mac OS).br /br /Is the near-destruction of Apple Computers for a second time from "arrogance in the marketplace" in the offing...?br /br /Back to THIS PC: I value battery life VERY highly, now that I have EXPERIENCED truly great battery life!!! I suppose I average 9 to 10 hours, maybe more. Where else will I get this?!!br /br /Give this little ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-PU17 netbook a try; I think you will be very pleased.

The Battery only last 6-8 hours - D. Strait -
I bought this ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-PU17-BK 10.1Inch Black Netbook (Up to 14 Hours of Battery Life). I followed all the directions on charging the battery. I even exercised the battery and the most I can get it to stay charged is 6-8 hours. I love this netbook, but I paid more for it because the battery was suppose to last up to 14 hours, but it doesn't even come close. I should have gotten a little cheaper one, and it probably would've lasted just as long.

I have never experienced such poor customer service. It took almost 2 weeks for a unit I purchased new 2 months ago to be repaired.There were sudden major problems with the screen quality. No one I spoke with seemed to have any concern about my dissatisfaction. Any reputable company would have replaced the unit rather than make a new customer wait so long. Further more the instuctions on the RMA tracking site are rather insulting as the first 4 letters in the example spell out a word considered obscene and offensive in English speaking countries: RMA No. has 10 digits like TWAT950001 given by ASUS Service Center.br /Based on the miserable experience I had I would not only never recommend Asus products to anyone, I would specifically caution them about the company's total disregard for their customers.
